NEWS and UPDATESA Unified Name - A New Era: On March 22, 2009, the executive board of NNLAMS approved the National Name Change Proposal with the goal to move the network to the next phase of unification. The proposal involved changing the NNLAMS national and regional names to LMSA. On March 27, 2009 the LMSA legislative body approved the national name change proposal thus releasing the LMSA name for the five regions and national core to use. Additionally, the new national logo will be LMSA’s present logo. On July 1, 2009, the national name change will go into effect in the following regions: West, Midwest, Southwest, Southeast. The Northeast region of the network, NBLHO, will have a House of Delegates meeting soon to vote on this issue formally as a reigon. For more details email: nc@nnlams.org
NNLAMS Southeast Regional Conference: Special thanks for all the speakers and participants for making the conference a success! February 27, 2008 marked our 1st regional conference hosted at the University of South Florida - College of Medicine, Tampa, FL. The conference brought in 8 medical schools including FSU COM, LECOM, UF COM, USF COM, UVA SOM, Vanderbilt SOM, as well as undergraduate students from several universities.
